2025 MC field hockey youth open turf
Manheim central Middle School (Varsity Baseball outfield)
Come join our MCFH Youth Coaches for weekly "open turf" practices! These sessions emphasis basic skills and players will participate in small game play. Open Turf is for any player residing in the Manheim Central School District.
Ages- Players entering 1st-6th grade in Fall 2025.
All practices will be held at the MC Middle School Baseball Field unless otherwise communicated.
Cost per player is $20 for the summer. Cash/Checks are accepted. Checks can be made out to Manheim VFW Youth Field Hockey.
This is a chance to keep your stick on the ball over the summer and a fun opportunity for new players to learn about the game!
Practice Dates: June 26th, July 3rd, 17th, 24th, 31st, and Aug 7th
1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade will practice from 5:30pm-6:30pm
4th, 5th, and 6th grade will practice from 6:30pm-7:15pm
If players plan on playing in the 2025 Fall League, players should purchase their own equipment (stick, shin guards, mouth guard). However, equipment is available to borrow upon request if you are new to the sport and want to try it out over the summer.

MC Field hockey youth fall registration
Manheim Central Youth Field Hockey is back again for another exciting season of fall field hockey! Our program is open to all players in grades 1st-6th during the Fall 2025 school year. Practices will begin in late August and will last until late October on Tuesdays/Thursdays from 6pm-730pm. Location will be at a Manheim site TBD (either at Doe Run grass field or the middle school turf field). Practice times will be adjusted as we lose daylight in the fall. We will be participating in the Lancaster-Lebanon Youth Field Hockey League and will compete against other local school district's youth teams.
Games will be played on Saturdays at various high school fields around Lancaster County. Everyone who participates in weekly practices will be expected to play on Saturdays. Cost will be $85/player if you need a practice/game pinnie and $65/player if you have one from last year. More details such as a parent meeting & official practice start date/location will be coming mid-summer. Please pass this information on to anyone who may be interested!

Equipment Needed- Stick, Shin guards, Mouth guard, Water bottle, Pinnie, Sneakers, Turf Shoes (optional), Cleats (for grass)
*New this year- grades 5/6 will need a corner mask. We will have a few available to borrow during practices and games. Also highly recommend for grades 3/4.
*In order to play for the MC Youth Team, you must be a resident of the Manheim Central School District*
